How to choose software for your club
Eight questions worth asking any vendor before you move your club. Under each one, what Stanio Sport does — so you can compare like for like.
Price model
Ask: Do you charge per member or a flat fee? What happens when the club grows past a limit?
Stanio Sport: Flat plans: free up to 50 active athletes, €29 a month up to 200, €69 with no limits (VAT included for clubs in Spain). Archived athletes do not count, and nothing is deleted when you hit a limit.
Online payment fees
Ask: What share of each card payment do you keep, on top of the card processor?
Stanio Sport: All fees together, Stripe’s and ours, come to ≈2.7% + €0.25 per card payment on Start, ≈2% + €0.25 on Club and ≈1.5% + €0.25 on Academy (standard European card; VAT included for clubs in Spain). Of that, our part is 1.2% on Start (at most €2 per payment), 0.5% on Club and 0% on Academy until 31 March 2027 (0.25% from 1 April 2027). In Ukraine clubs connect their own mono or LiqPay, and we take no fee.
Languages
Ask: Can coaches and parents each use their own language?
Stanio Sport: Eight languages: Spanish, Catalan, English, Ukrainian, Polish, German, Dutch and French; everyone picks their own.
Parent app
Ask: Do parents pay to use the portal? What do they see?
Stanio Sport: No, the parent portal is free for parents, on any plan. It shows the child’s schedule, call-ups, attendance, debt and payment history, and club announcements.
Attendance without signal
Ask: Can a coach mark attendance at a field with no connection?
Stanio Sport: Yes. Marks made offline stay on the phone and are sent when the connection returns.
Trial lessons and leads
Ask: Where do new families who ask for a trial end up?
Stanio Sport: A form for your website, or the trial button on your free club page (stanio.app/c/your-club), feeds a pipeline from request to student, with tasks, reminders and follow-up messages.
Data export and GDPR
Ask: Where is the data stored? Can we take it with us?
Stanio Sport: On servers in the EU. The club exports all its data to Excel at any time; each user can export or delete their own account.
Support and moving in
Ask: Who helps us move our players? In which language?
Stanio Sport: Send us your Excel or an export from your current program and we move players with teams and contacts. Help center in English, Spanish and Ukrainian; we answer the contact form.
Whatever you choose, try it with one real group for two weeks before moving the whole club.
