Weight control

Weigh-ins, the weight category and the competition date — «−1.2 kg to the category in 9 days», a heads-up to the coach, and weights in the parents' portal only if the club allows it. For martial arts and boxing.

Pour: entraîneur, responsable, dirigeant, familles

The Weight control module is for martial arts and boxing clubs (and multi-activity centres with such an activity). It shows how much an athlete still has to lose for their category and whether they will make it by the competition.

Turn it on

The owner turns on Weight control in Club settings → Modules. Weight control appears in the menu.

Category and competition

  • The category comes from the athlete card's «Weight category» field (martial arts and boxing clubs have it): -60, 60 kg, under 57.5 — a 60 (57.5) kg limit; +100 — an open category, nothing to lose.
  • Competition: on the athlete's page (Weight control → the name) — the competition's date and name. If the category field doesn't fit, a Limit, kg can be set there too.

Weigh-ins

  • The whole group: Weight control → + Weigh-in — the date and each athlete's weight (empty ones are skipped).
  • One athlete: on the athlete's page — date, weight, note.
  • In the app: Menu → Weight control → the athlete → the weight → Save. Offline, the weigh-in stays on the phone and goes by itself.

The group's list shows the category, the latest weigh-in and the line «to the category: −1.2 kg in 9 days»: red — off track, amber — on track, green — in the category. Those off track come first.

How it's worked out: the trend is a line through the last two weeks' weigh-ins. If the trend doesn't get the weight down to the limit by the competition day, it's «off track». With a single weigh-in, «off track» means more than 0.15 kg a day to lose.

Heads-up to the coach

The group's coach is notified when one of their athletes is off track for the competition. A new weigh-in that is still off track is a new notification; back on track, it goes away by itself.

Who sees the weight

Children's weight is sensitive.

  • Club staff — as they see the players: if the club limits coaches to their own players, a coach sees only their athletes' weights.
  • Parents — only if the club turns on «Show weight to families» (at the bottom of Weight control, owner and support). Off by default. Then the child's page in the portal shows Weight: the latest weigh-in, the category, the way to the competition. Who weighed them isn't shown to parents.
  • Anonymising a player deletes their weigh-ins.

FAQ

What if the category is written in words («light»)? Set Limit, kg on the athlete's page.

Typed the wrong weight? On the athlete's page — 🗑 next to the weigh-in.
