Ladder & americano

A group or club challenge ladder with results and history, and americano and mexicano evenings with a live table. For padel, tennis, badminton and table tennis.

Per a: entrenador, gestor, propietari, famílies

The Ladder & americano module is for padel, tennis, badminton and table tennis clubs (and multi-activity centres with such an activity). Other clubs don't see it.

Turn it on

The owner opens Club settings → Modules and turns on Ladder & americano. A Ladder section appears in the menu.

The ladder

A ladder is a list of players by place. A player challenges someone above, no more than a set number of places up (3 by default). If the challenger wins, the two swap places; if they lose, nothing changes.

  1. Ladder → + New ladder: a name, a group (its players line up by surname) or Whole club, how many places up a challenge may reach and how many days there are to reply (7 by default).
  2. On the ladder's page, the Up / Down arrows change the order, + Add player puts someone new at the bottom, × removes a player.
  3. + New challenge: who challenges whom. Players with an open challenge are marked «challenge»: each can have only one.
  4. A challenge is waiting for a reply until the other player accepts it (Accept). Not accepted in time — they lose without playing, and the places swap by themselves.
  5. After the match — Enter result: the sets, the challenger's games first (6–4, 3–6, 10–8). A coach's result counts at once.

An accepted challenge not played by its deadline just closes («not played in time») and the places stay. Cancel closes any open challenge.

A group's ladder is kept by its coaches, the whole club's by managers; any staff member can enter challenges and results on the club's ladder.

For parents and players

On the child's page in the portal there is a ladder card: the places (others by first name and initial), Challenge someone above, Accept a challenge, Enter result. A family's result counts once the opponent (their family) or the coach confirms it.

Americano and mexicano

A doubles evening on a few courts: partners change every round, and everyone scores their pair's points.

  1. Ladder → Americano → + New evening: a name, the format, the number of courts, the date, a group (narrows the player list) and the players — an even number, at least 4.
  2. The first round appears at once: who plays on which court with whom, and who sits out (with more players than the courts hold, they sit out in turn).
  3. Enter each match's score and press Save and next round. The table beside it adds up by itself: points and wins.
  4. Finish — rounds without a full score are dropped, the final ranking stays.
  • Americano — everyone partners everyone, as far as the rounds allow (8 players on 2 courts: 7 rounds, every pair exactly once).
  • Mexicano — the first round by the list's order, then by the table: 1st and 4th against 2nd and 3rd, the next four on the next court.

With the Athlete development module you can tick Add the results to athlete development: when the evening is finished, each player gets an «Americano: % of points won» result on its date.

In the app: Menu → Ladder — ladder challenges and results, a new americano evening and the round scores right on the court.

FAQ

A player left the group — do they stay on the ladder? Yes, until someone removes them with ×. Their open challenges are cancelled then.

Can a result be corrected? While a family's result waits for confirmation — yes, Correct the result. A counted result doesn't change; move the places with the arrows.

The club changed its sport — is the data lost? No. The module hides, and the ladders and evenings come back with the sport.
